What does TSA compliant mean?
TSA (Transportation Security Administration) is a governmental agency. It has rules that govern the amount of liquids, gels, aerosols, creams and pastes you can bring on an airplane.
Officially TSA states: 311 for carry ons. Liquids, gels, aerosols, creams and pastes must be 3.4 ounces (100ml) or less per container; must be in 1 quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag; 1 bag per passenger placed in screening bin. The bag limits the total liquid volume each traveler can bring.
What is 311 compliant?
311 is the TSA designation of liquids, gels, aerosols, creams and pastes you can bring with you in your carry on bag when traveling by air:
3.4 ounces or less per individual container (labeled on outside of container, NOT how much product is left in the container). For example, you can’t bring an 8 ounces bottle with only a few ounces left. The container has to be labeled 3.4 ounces or less.
1 quart-sized bag – all your liquid, gels, aerosols, creams and pastes that are under 3.4 ounces have to fit in 1 quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag.
1 quart-sized bag per person.
Can I bring Carrie’s products in my carry on bag when traveling on an airplane?
Yes, you can. Carrie’s was designed so all the products meet the TSA 311 rules. The packaging was also designed to optimize the number of products you can fit into that 1 quart-size bag.
Can I pack Carrie’s products in my luggage if I want to check my bag at the airport?
Absolutely! We designed Carrie’s products to be TSA 311 compliant if you carry-on your luggage (we know many of you do). But if you decide to check your bag, Carrie’s products still provide the perfect answer for your travel needs. They are perfectly sized to provide enough product for your trip without taking up too much space in your luggage. Really, who needs to bring multiple, full 8+ ounce size beauty products when traveling. They take up too much space in your luggage – and what a mess if they open en route!
Are Carrie’s products appropriate if I'm not traveling by airplane?
Whether you prefer to travel by land, sea, or air, Carrie’s is the perfect-size travel product. You can customize products based on where you are headed. Plus, you’ll have enough for your trip without taking up too much space in your luggage, lowering the risk of large bottle explosions during travel (what a mess!).

Are Carrie's products safe for my color/chemically treated hair?
Absolutely. All Carrie’s products are safe for color treated and chemically treated hair. Carrie’s knows you take care of your hair and always want to look your best. There is no need to ruin that expensive color or treatment with hotel samples.
Why do Carrie's shampoos have a very light lather?
Carrie’s shampoos are free of sulfates (among other things). Manufacturers add sulfates mainly as a foaming agent, but they can fade your color and strip your hair of natural oils, leading to breakage and frizz. With Carrie’s sulfate-free shampoos your hair is just as clean – and you get to keep your color and increase moisture. A much better option than just a bunch of bubbles!
Do Carrie's skin care products have synthetic colors?
Our skin care products do not include synthetic colors. They can be irritating to the skin, the last thing you need while traveling!
Shipping and Ordering Questions
Does Carrie's offer free shipping?
Yes, we offer free shipping on all orders over $35. If the order is under $35, we will charge a flat $6.95 price for shipping.
Can Carrie's expedite orders?
Yes, we can expedite orders. Two day for $15 and overnight orders for $21. Unfortunately, we can’t expedite orders that contain aerosol hair spray.
Does Carrie's ship internationally?
Unfortunately, not at this time. But we are working on it!
Do you ship to a P.O. Box?
Yes we can ship to a P.O. Box.
Can I return an item?
Yes, we want you to be 100% satisfied with Carrie’s. We will happily accept returned products within 30 days of original purchase. Please refer to our return policy for details.
